Top o’ the class… Nicholson & Barry TUES26SEPT23
t was a big night for eight of Greystones’ cooler kids in the municipal
district offices on Tuesday.
For that was the night Casey, Cillian, Eimer, Greta, Kima, Oliver, Taylor and Una were crowned Reading Ambassadors for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
A position that comes with your own chauffeur-driven car and a
private jet. And a t-shirt.
Connected to the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals, these sixth class students will now share their knowledge with their classmates, friends, families and passing strangers.
Otherwise, they’ll lose the car, and maybe even the jet. Once worn, the t-shirt’s safe.
The presentation was made by Cathaoirleach Mark Barry, with the shout going out for other Greystones kids to join the Reading Goals Book Club.
You can find out more by calling the bould Catherine at Greystones Library on 012873548.
In the meantime, big hugs to our no.1 roving photographer, John McGowan, who captured the happy occasion.
