ot on the heels of the so-so Summer Songs festival, Burnaby Park got another musical love-in today.
With the summer rain just about staying away, the Wicklow Multicultural Festival did exactly what it says on the poster.
Musicians and artists from all four corners of the globe who have made Wicklow their home came together to bring one county under a groove.
The beat went on all afternoon courtesy of singer and storyteller Zeenie, human beatbox Abood Aladham, singer-songwriter Dan Forde, DJ Spaqz, Justine Nantale, the No Wahala dance group, The Bray Size Boyz, and the Yukalaili Sisters.
There were also designs by Fella, hair displays by Bridget, Sokoni displays by Catherine Kayya Murphy, and all sorts of other mind-expanding, hip-shaking and distinctly universal goodies.
Which may explain why our #1 roving photographer John McGowan was coaxed out of retirement, just for the day…
You can check out the full gallery of John McGowan shots from the day in hi-res right here.
