he Boat Yard Gallery down by the harbour are having another of 
their fine al fresco exhibitions this coming week.
And this time out, it’s local photographer Jane Friel – a leading light of the Greystones Camera Club – who will be meeting and greeting.
Running from 12pm to 4pm on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th, here’s a little background from the lady herself…
I’m a locally-based photographer working mainly in digital and occasionally in film. I’ve been taking pictures for as long as I can remember – I can’t think of a time when I wasn’t, basically.
I like to look for the beauty in the everyday and I take pictures of everything! The natural landscape – seascapes and skies, flora and fauna – the built environment, and details in local architecture both, urban and rural. Glimpses of light around home.
For head shots and portraits, I favour natural light with a relaxed, low key, cooperative approach.
