And some day, we’re going to find out the exact history of the town’s Christmas Day Swim.

When did it start? And why?

And how many eejits turned up on that first swim?

In the meantime, as we rebuild our archives – having opened up a lot more space by placing the bulk of our photographs on a sister site – we step back here to 2011, and the earliest Christmas Day Swim recorded by GG and the groovy John McGowan.
