Which made this year’s Christmas Day Swim something of a revelation, and a bigger celebration than usual, as thousands of shiny happy people descended upon not only the South Beach but also, of course, that favourite early morning
swimming hole, The Cove.
That sun made everything just feel lighter, and brighter, today, with everyone present clearly imbued with the Christmas spirit.
And a few very possibly emboldened with some other festive spirits.
From the South Beach boardwalk to the marina boulevard, and all paths and walkways inbetween, there was a constant flow of people enjoying this intoxicating Christmas sun.
And it made for arguably the sweetest Christmas Day Swim Greystones has ever had.
