Vick Takes A Dive For Charity

hen young Vick sent us a message late on Christmas Eve, asking if we’d pop down to The Men’s for his charity dip at 8.30am the following morning to take pics, we naturally told him to go take a good run and jump.

Preferably off the long-gone Men’s diving board.

As luck – and the wife’s inherited flu bug – would have it though, we did wake stupidly early on Christmas Day. And we did find ourselves down at The Men’s at 8.30am.

Only there was no Vick.

“I got a little delayed,” he says now, “and I’m glad you waited. Because we were raising money for charity, and had the café open till 11am for this too…”

The charity in question being the GG Foundation (the other one), and the amount Vick and Ira raised this morning was a very tidy €1,360.50.

“We just want to thank all our customers for donating this morning,” finishes Vick. “It warms the heart.
