Christmas Dinner Is Served…

As one old Greystones tradition winds up down in the South Beach, a new one has just begun up on the main street.

It was back at the start of December that we stumbled across the great gesture by Declan and the Bochelli’s gang, who are hosting Christmas Dinner for the WH Five Loaves this year.

The appeal went out for drivers to bring people from Bray, Wicklow Town, and all points in between, and before you could say “Merry Christmas!“, cars and coaches were all lined up.

As we headed home from the , local coach supremo Manos was bringing the first bus-load of happy chompers into Bochelli’s for their big festive feed.

Inside, the staff had laid out all the tables, and the smell of the food was… well, let’s just say it was hard to leave.

So, fair play to Declan, his family, and all the staff who volunteered for the day. Even Dan Cruickshank.

Doesn’t it just get you right in the feels…?
