he artist might not actually be from, or live in, Greystones, but, hey, nobody’s perfect…

The important thing is, Wexford-based Simone Walsh has done a mighty fine job of capturing Greystones and all its hustle agus bustle in this vibrant, colourful portrait.

Be the jiggers, young Walsh has even managed to get the only recently-opened Kilkenny shop in there. Which is handy, given that it’s in that very shop where we spotted the above beauty this afternoon.

We’ll get in touch with the artist after the silly season dies down – for now though, nicely done, Simone. This fine painting is so darn wonderful, we’ve decided to give you honorary citizenship of Greystones. For one full day.
