Cliff Walk Named Ireland’s Favourite Local Attraction

t might be just another example of clickbait arse, but it’s nonetheless sweet to see the Indo naming our beloved Cliff Walk as Ireland’s Favourite Local Attraction.

The news organisation have just announced their Reader Travel Awards 2020, and to no one’s great surprise, the walk that has helped generation of people get the hell out of Bray and find refuge in Greystones came out with a gong.

According to those who voted for the Cliff Walk, the hike is ‘just the right distance‘, and ‘an easy walk but long enough to make you feel like you’ve worked‘. Another noted that the trek ‘energises you in a way no other walk can‘ (take that, Camino de Santiago!), with ‘amazing views‘ and all on a path that’s ‘kept clean and tidy’.

Having been dubbed by some as the Camino de Pear, given the magnetic draw of the fruity and flirtatious Flynnstones, the fact that you have Platform Pizza, Box Burger and The Harbour Bar on the dark side, and The Happy Pear alongside 4,238 award-winning coffee shops on the bright side, sure, that’s a fine day out right for men, women and horny influencers right there, and no mistake.

Having begun life as a path for men and horses working on the coastal railway, the remains of Lord Meath’s lodge can still be seen along the trek.
