You only have to switch on the TV to witness the latest drought, hurricane, wildfire, storm or species extinction to know that the world is changing.

Again and again the argument against going green, against doing the right thing for our planet, is that the more environmentally-friendly option costs the earth. When, of course, going for that cheaper, nastier option does actually cost us the earth.
Which may all sound a little Lord Of The Rings, granted, but, let’s just be glad that there’s a will to save the planet out there. And the ways.
And there’s work to be done, especially given that, when it comes to meeting greenhouse emission targets, Ireland has been dubbed a ‘climate laggard‘. Given that we’re pretty much Paddy Last on quite a few eco lists. Last year, household emissions here rose 7.9% and transport 1.7%, with petrol rising 9.2% and diesel 4.6%, whilst biofuels decreased by 4.0%.
And then there’s the fires. And the droughts.
