Last year, Delgany ICA proudly raised funds for Wicklow Hospice, a vital service in our community.

Wicklow Hospice provides compassionate, person-centred care for patients and their families, focusing on physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs. Their multidisciplinary teams work tirelessly to ensure comfort, dignity, and loving care at every stage.

Mission & Values
Founded by the Sisters of Charity in 1879, Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services continues its mission of providing high-quality, person-centred health and social care services with love and compassion, both in the hospice and the wider community.

Over the past year, our Delgany ICA members have shown incredible energy and generosity. From hosting a table quiz, running the Mini Marathon, organising a Christmas Fair, and even holding a Paint and Prosecco night, we’ve worked hard behind the scenes to support this cause.

Thanks to everyone’s efforts, we raised an amazing €10,000, which we proudly presented to Alison Ryder this summer.

This Year’s Charity: The Shauna Kavanagh Foundation
We are delighted to announce that Delgany ICA’s chosen charity for this year is The Shauna Kavanagh Foundation, a wonderful local organisation inspired by the life and spirit of Shauna Kavanagh.

The Foundation was established in celebration of Shauna’s remarkable determination to live, love, learn, and laugh in the face of adversity. Her compassion and positive spirit continue to inspire the Foundation’s mission: to bring practical and heartfelt support to people living with long-term illnesses.

Shauna’s legacy is one of ordinary, practical human love — offering kindness, understanding, and tangible help to those facing physical or mental health challenges.

The Foundation’s goal is to support individuals and families coping with long-term health conditions such as Cystic Fibrosis (CF). Many of these families face extended hospital stays and significant day-to-day costs. The Foundation helps in simple, meaningful ways — providing:

⦿ Phone credit
⦿ Exercise equipment
⦿ Other essentials that ease financial pressure during difficult times

Looking Ahead
Delgany ICA is looking forward to another exciting year of community spirit and fundraising. We hope to raise significant funds for the Shauna Kavanagh Foundation — and we’re starting with our fabulous 2026 Calendar, now on sale for €20.
