Dreamer Sarah Webb Comes To Town

It’s a fine idea for a book, bringing together some of Ireland’s biggest and most accomplished dreamers.

And, of course, there’s a Greystonian in there between the pages.

Young Adam Harris from asIam is one of the Irish heroes celebrated in Sarah Webb’s new book, Dare To Dream, and the local lad really should have been at Halfway Up The Stairs this fine Saturday afternoon, to sign a few copies.

The fact that Sarah was there, recommending books from 3pm to 4pm, before reading from her latest offering – which boasts beautiful illustrations by Graham Corcoran – sparked quite a few young dreamers in the town too.

Others featured in the book include explorer Tom Crean, Maude Delap [above], who spent a lifetime studying jellyfish, globetrotting dragonfly expert Cynthia Longfield, Belfast rugby star Jack Kyle, and 1916 hero Roger Casement.
