That swine, Jake Carter, was packin’ ’em in over in
Newtown, and his Mama’s Boy magnetism meant there wasn’t a dry
Micra left in Greystones this morning…
The old lady exodus made for a quieter-than-normal East Coast Coffee Morning down at The Beach House, but, the sun was shining, the people were smiling, and no one was complaining.
Well, no one except for Eilo Vickers, of course. She
feckin’ loves Nathan Carter – the musical equivalent of a stair lift – and would much rather have been hanging out with his younger brother this morning than with her boring Greystones Cancer Support buddies.
Still, she did get to meet the day’s furry mascot, Bonnie, and her loving owner, Emma T. As did Simon Harris, the lucky swine.
Just across the road, at Goldfish’s groovy new abode, Yarra Yarra, all the
cool people were sunning themselves out front for their coffee morning, with the mighty Pippins Parkinson – never one to miss a house party – making the short trek over from Slievemore with her third-favourite son. All monies raised were going to the mighty Greystones Cancer Support, explained head honcho Gordon O’Neill, as he poured himself another
morning cocktail.
Shout-out to Sabrina and the gang over at The Castle Inn this morning too, and all the posh kids down in Mount Usher, to name but two other rockin’ Wicklow get-togethers for local charities.
Maybe we can get Daniel O’Donnell’s third cousin, forcibly removed, to be Greystones’ guest of honour next year…?

Ah Thank you Kathleen, Bonnie was delighted to be your Mascot and would love to continue the role!
Bonnie & Max have indeed met before and got on very well.
Great morning. Well Done, Kathleen, you do such a wonderful job at Greystones Cancer Support. Also a big thank you to Susie Kenny from Paraphernalia, who transformed an adult t shirt into a little t shirt for Bonnie within minutes…….she is so so creative……Bonnie was also delighted to get her photo taken with Simon Harris. She loves everyone and is very social so had a wonderful morning. Till next year!!
Thank you, Greystones Guide, for coming along to East Coast FM Coffee Morning at The Beach House.
Great to see you once again and many thanks for your support.
Great photos, we will tell people where to look for them.
Where was Max ?? Our mascot, Bonnie, was there this morning, minding her owner, Emma.
They would have been great mates !!
