for a special Greystones anniversary gathering this afternoon.
read Skolstrejk för klimatet, on March 19th, 2019, the rest of the world joined in, as 2,200 School Strike For Climate protests took place in 125 countries, followed on May 24th by another global strike to coincide with the 2019 European Parliament election.
Naturally, Greystones took part in the first and second school strikes, and then came up with a third of our own for good measure.
There was a distinct lack of schoolkids though as a motley crew carrying a handful of banners stuck it to The Man this afternoon. The Man was at work, so the protestors took their shouts and mumbles down to The Greystones Municipal District Office.
“Three years ago, local families declared Climate & Biodiversity Emergency and strongly invited authorities to stand with us,” explained Keith. “They did. Some progress was made, but nothing like enough.
