t’s one of the year’s most inventive and kaleidoscopic films, and being Pixar, it’s a film that will leave both children and adults feeling warm and cuddly inside.
And maybe even a little cosmic.
Screening at The Whale this afternoon, what made this particular outing for Elemental all the more special was the special recorded introduction by Pixar CEO Pete Doctor, addressing the Greystones crowd before the film rolled.
And joining him for a quick Greystones hello was Pete Sohn, the writer and director of Elemental, this tale all about fitting in to a new community based on his own parents’ experience arriving from South Korea into New York to start a new life.
It’s all part of The Whale’s new Greystones Kids Film Club, a new monthly Sunday afternoon outing highlighting the best of new cinema as well as celebrating old classics.
Classics like Home Alone and The Muppet Christmas Carol, both screening on December 10th.
And then there’s the little matter of The Greatest Christmas Film Ever, Ever, Ever, the cuddlesome, chucklesome classic that is Elf. You can catch the Will Ferrell classic at The Whale on December 22nd.
And what else is coming up at The Whale right here.
And if all that wasn’t enough, you can find out about other Greystones Christmas goodies right over here.
