n incident on the Dart as it approached Bray from Shankill saw all passengers
having to embark and make their way by foot to the town.
Passengers were advised to stay onboard the train as staff and gardaí attended to the scene, but many chose instead to walk. The Bray Air Display being the destination for many.
Guide by Sarah O’Tooligan. According to Irish Rail spokesman Barry Kenny, the initial 5½-minute delay quickly turned into an hour “when a small group forced open the doors and went on the track. This meant that the trains couldn’t move in either direction, obviously, because they were on the track“.
