GG has always believed in quality over quantity.And it’s something that Greystones’ Making Waves Youth Theatre are clearly out to prove with their latest production, First Takes: An Evening Of Scenes & Sketches.
Running at The Whale Theatre this Friday and Saturday, the whole idea of of First Takes is giving the young actors a series of juicy roles that they can really sink their teeth into. Which, of course, is a handy way for any actor to showcase their incredible range, baby.
Having grown out of youth theatre’s twice-weekly workshops at Coolnagreina – Sundays 2pm to 4.30pm and Mondays 7pm to 9pm, calendar fans! – the excitement of delivering a short, sharp moment in time, like a chance meeting, proved a major spark for everyone involved.

Taking place on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th of May at The Whale Theatre, tickets for First Takes are €12 and €10 and are available here.
