Free Saturday Parking For De Christmas!

ust to help those keen on supporting their local chancer when Christmas shopping, there will be free parking over the festive season.

In the town itself, from November 29th to December 20th, there will be two hours free on-street parking each Saturday.

If you’re quick on your feet and you have your list, there’s always free parking during the week, up to 10am, with a 15-minute grace period for coin-scrambling. There’s also the option of cashless parkingtag.ie on your phone.

For those who need a little longer to get their Christmas groove on, the car parks at the South Beach, Trafalgar Road and La Touche Road are free every Saturday throughout the year. As is the great big Park & Ride down at the Woodlands, which has 460 spaces.

Up until, oh, about 7.42am on a weekday.

Beyond our borders, on Bray’s Herbert Road car park, it’s free on weekends until January 1st in the WCC section; in Arklow, there’s two hours free parking Monday to Friday in the main street and Castlepark car parks, along with the pre-existing free Saturday and Sunday parking; in Wicklow Town, it’s two hours free in council-owned car parks along with one hour free on the main street until January 1st; in Blessington and Baltinglass, sure, the lucky ducks always have free parking on the go. At least, that’s what they normally offer.
