Heading to Dublin, the passengers were guests of the Irish Girl Guides, their invitation part of a post-war goodwill visit to rekindle cultural ties and spirit after the horror of WWII.
Taking place on Wednesday, February 18th at 7.30pm in Kilian House Family Centre, the speaker will be Jim Scannell and he will present The Air Crash No-One Saw – Djouce Mountain in 1946.
He has also compiled since 1992 the weekly Event Diary of Local History Society Meetings, which has been broadcast on several local radio stations in the Greater Dublin Area.
