And even if it was raining – and then it wasn’t, and then it was again
By the time the sun came out, the Cove was almost full,
Peace and gloves, baby…
fter our misery-guts festive greeting yesterday, it was good to see so
many shiny, happy people brave the nutty weather today for the town’s annual Christmas Day Swim.
And even if it was raining – and then it wasn’t, and then it was again
– the hardy souls fearlessly hit not only the traditional South Beach sweet spot but also the slightly-more-shaded Cove.
The clever little fecks.
It made for a colourful collection of kooks, aged from 2 to 102, and it was both heartwarming and toe-chilling to see so many people take the plunge.
Some of the smarter Greystonians faced the elements in scuba gear;Â some of the wilder Greystonians in oversized teddy bear suits.
By the time the sun came out, the Cove was almost full,
and the South Beach was hitting its peak too, with our #1 roving photographer John McGowan there to capture the gladness and the madness.
