While working on events with the Greystones Town Team (GTT) and speaking with local councillors, we noticed a big gap—small businesses were struggling to find new customers, and people were having a hard time finding the right local services. That’s when it hit us: we need a simple, easy-to-use business directory to bring everyone together.

So, we rolled up our sleeves and built Around The Corner — a friendly online marketplace where local businesses can highlight their services. We know that not everyone has the time, money, or energy to manage social media, so this platform is here to help. You can promote yourself without the hassle, and if you’re already on social media, you can link everything in one convenient place.

But that’s not all! Whether your business is looking to hire or you’re on the job hunt, we’ve got you covered.

And the best part? It’s completely free!

We’ve worked closely with local businesses and even teamed up with folks who face tech challenges or have neurobehavioral conditions to make sure the site is easy and accessible for everyone. Our goal? To connect with our community and help local businesses shine.

Around The Corner was born from a simple yet powerful realisation — finding local businesses and reliable service providers in Greystones, County Wicklow, was harder than it should be. We soon discovered that many others faced the same challenge, while local businesses struggled to reach the right customers. That’s why we created Around The Corner — a trusted, community-first platform that connects people with local businesses and job opportunities. Our mission is to empower small businesses, support job seekers, and strengthen communities — one connection at a time.
