Let’s get this party started…. Catherine Leahy, Jennifer Hanlon & Sharon Felton SAT1MAR25
t came as no surprise to anyone that this year’s Pink Ball For Cancer sold
out in double-quick time.
Last year’s shindig had proven to be not only a fine fundraiser for Greystones Cancer Support but also a very fine night out.
Once again held over in The Parkview Hotel, there were fun and games, goodie bags and yum yums, plus organisers Catherine Leahy and Sharon
Felton’s much-loved Take That agus Westlife tribute band, Never Forget.
“Everything was just magical,” says Ms Felton. “From our amazing sponsors to the hotel staff and management – who went above and beyond, as always – to the 280 people who attended last night, everyone just came together to make this night truly special…”
And that includes the entertainers, of course, singer Ruby O’Kelly and The Orlagh Carty Academy of Irish Dance giving Never Forget a run for their moolah.
“We raised €14,000 last year,” continues Sharon, “and we’re hoping to beat that number this year. It’s really just our way of saying thank you to Greystones Cancer Support…
“They were there when we needed them most, as they have been for so many people around here.”
Taking over 300 photosnaps between them on the night were John McGowan and Gerry Kelly, and you can check out the full hi-res gallery right about here.
