hey’re the hunky Flynn twins for those who like a little bit o’ meat on their man,
the Farrelly brothers Anthony and Padraic having served as butchers in Delgany village pretty much since the day they could first swing a cleaver.
With their father, Tony Farrelly, having taken over this long-running butchers shop in September 1958, his sons suddenly found themselves having to grab the steering wheel of this Wicklow institution in 1991 – when dad popped into hospital for “a week or ten days”, leaving his “pair of gobshite” sons to look after the shop for a while.
That was 24 years ago, and I think it would be fair to say that the late Tony Farrelly would be incredibly proud of just how his boys – pictured above teasing the next Farrelly generation, Robin – have been running the place.
