Go-Go Lawless Siblings Help Raise €50,000

It was a big night for St Joseph’s, and it was something of a knee-trembler too for Greystones siblings Elaine and Rob Lawless.

The night was Strictly For Dementia, held to raise funds for St Joseph’s ambitious plans for Ireland’s first Dementia Village, and brother and sister were competing for Dancing Fool glory.

In the end, it was Elaine and her dancing partner, Paula, who got silver, whilst Rob’s valiant efforts – alongside the lovely Nicola – didn’t quite overwhelm the judges.

The real winner on the night, of course, was St Joseph’s, their hopes for a unique dementia-friendly community taking quite a few steps closer to reality by the simple fact that the night raised an incredible €50,000. The Lawless siblings were honouring their late father, Ed, on the night.
