They’ve become known as Wicklow’s very own Bermuda Triangle,
a notorious spider’s web of seemingly endless and pointless traffic lights
where drivers will often lose track of time and place.
And the will to live.
But today, on January 3rd, just as 2017’s very first green light out of Grattan Park miraculously appeared, Wicklow County Council have announced plans to turn Greystones’ much-hated limbo lights into a thriving market place.

The lights are great for calling into TESCO for your shopping. You can get it all done and still be back before the lights change!
The important thing here is that we observe the rules of the road and law of the land.
No matter how emotoinal and het up some of us get about these lights. The fact remains. They ARE traffic lights.
If people start breaking the lghts (and the law) there will be utter choas. Anarchy will ensue. The Brixton riots will seem like the Teddy Bears Picnic.
There have been vehicles observed driving through red lights here. They know who they are and they have been reported to the relevant authorites.
This is the beginning of the end of social structure as we know it.
The excuse ‘But Gard. it was the dog driving and he’s colour blind’ just wont wash.
everyone needs to stay calm and wait for the green light.
