October 12th 2025…This has been a very good year for Greystones Bowling Club.
We won the Veteran’s leagues 4 and 5 and Veteran’s 6 had the same points as the winners, but we were beaten on countback of shots.
Wednesday Division 2 team were beaten by .5 of a point, so very close.
We were promoted to Saturday Div. 1 last year and managed to stay in that division. We were also awarded the Texaco Award for Sport for Wicklow, which was a great achievement. Hopefully, next year we will manage to get some young people trying out bowling.
We had a very successful open weekend in May, with 63 visitors through our gates to give bowling a try and at least 20 more applicants through our website – which is www.greystonesbc.com – which meant that we got 29 new members.
They were welcomed with open arms and have settled in really well and they are all enjoying their bowling, especially our social roll-ups.

There are some very keen bowlers among them, so the future looks bright for the club. We also provide social bowling for members who are not interested in playing in leagues.
