It was celebrations all round on Saturday evening as Sin É Hair & Beauty, one of the very first businesses to open in the Charlesland Shopping Centre, marked 20 years in business with a lively anniversary party in the salon.
The event featured a champagne reception, Divine Foodie nibbles, live music, and gifts for loyal customers, as owner Sinéad Ní Éilí and her team welcomed friends, clients, and neighbours to thank them for two decades of support.
Cllr. Mark Barry, Leas-Chathaoirleach of the Greystones Municipal District, attended as guest speaker and commended Sinéad and her team for their dedication, resilience, and contribution to the local community.
Cllr. Mark Barry said: “Sin É Hair & Beauty has been at the heart of Charlesland for 20 years, and that longevity says everything about Sinéad’s hard work, vision, and connection to her customers.
But it’s also a story about her incredible team the driving force behind the salon. They’re not just staff; they’re family. Together, they’ve built a space filled with warmth, laughter, and belonging. That’s what makes Sin É so special it’s more than a business; it’s part of the community fabric.”
Sin É Hair & Beauty first opened its doors in 2005, making it one of the founding businesses in the Charlesland Shopping Centre. It remains the only original business to have traded continuously since the centre opened.
Over the years, Sinéad and her staff have developed a reputation for high-quality, organic haircare, friendly professionalism, and genuine care for their clients. Many of the team have been with Sinéad for years, and together they’ve created an environment that feels more like family than workplace.
Sinéad Ní Éilí said: “I feel so lucky to have had such incredible people by my side. My team are more than colleagues they’re friends, they’re family. They’ve been my support through every challenge, and the bond we share is at the heart of everything we do. The love, loyalty, and laughter in our salon come from them.
“I’m so proud of what we’ve built together and so grateful to the community who’ve supported us every step of the way.”
Today, SinÉ Hair & Beauty continues to thrive, recently launching a new gents’ private colour and perm section, along with innovative anti-frizz and smoothing treatments and an unlimited blow-dry offer running through November.
The evening closed with music, laughter, and celebration a fitting tribute to a business that has grown up alongside its community and continues to shine at the heart of Charlesland.
A special thanks to SuperValu Charlesland and The Divine Foodie for keeping everyone watered and fed for the party.
A shout-out too for John McGowan, who captured the hooley – full gallery of hi-res pics here.
