Greystones Gets Its First Ladies Football Team

Sporting Greystones FC is delighted to announce the launch of its first-ever Ladies Team, which will take part in the Eastern Women’s Football League.

This new team represents an exciting and welcoming step forward for women’s football in Greystones. The aim is to create a positive, supportive environment where players can enjoy the game, develop their skills, and be part of a growing football community.

With female participation at the club continuing to grow season after season, the Ladies Team offers an opportunity for players aged 18+ — whether experienced, returning to football, or simply curious about getting involved — to join something new from the very beginning.

Becky Loftus, Sporting Greystones said: “We’re really proud to be introducing our first Ladies Team and to be the first club in Greystones to have a ladies 18+ team. This is about creating opportunities, and giving women players a chance to enjoy football in a supportive club and competitive setting.”

Pre-season training is planned end of January, with the league season kicking off in March 2026.
