Largely written in code, GUAFC is, of course, Greystones United Athletic Football Club, and it turns out that MGL stands for Metropolitan Girls League, SFAI is the Schoolboys Football Association of Ireland (guessing that name might need a tweak), and DDSL stands for Dublin District Schoolboys League (ditto).
The girls’ journey to get to this stage has been all on the road after a bye in the first round, Stones drew Dublin Kingpins Peamount Utd and after a Titanic game, came out on top by 1-0. Next up were DDSL team Beechwood FC and after a very tight first half, Stones ran out easy winners by a scoreline of 8-0.
So now, into the the last 8 in Ireland. On the team are Rebecca Howard,

So, to the last 32 in Ireland, all eyes on the SFAI live draw. We were rewarded with a long trip to play Abbeyfeale Utd Limerick, Stones ran out 3-0 winners after a very tough game. Next up, last 16 away to Cork, top dogs Midleton FC. After a very tight struggle, in a game played in what can only be described as apocalyptic conditions, Stones came out on the right side of a very tight game 1-0.
