Don’t box me in…

ou know how it is, no matter how kick-ass your outfit might be, at some point, it’s going to look so last year.

And when that time for a change comes, what better way lively up your look than to simply swap?

That’s the clever thinking behind this Halloween Swap Shop at Greystones Library, with anyone who’s no longer feeling the love – or getting the screams – for their annual killer costume invited to head on down and find something entirely new.

Says one of the organisers, Lourda Scott, “Please drop in your old costumes – clean and in good condition – and pick up a different one for this year’s Halloween spooks! This will help reduce some of the waste at Halloween and help people save some money in the process.”

Noice. If  successful, the plan is to run a similar plan for Christmas. Which, we presume, will be more for Sunday clothes rather than creepy costumes.

Organised by Scott, Clodagh at the library, and Barbara from Green Thread, the Halloween Swap Shop is happening Saturday, October 4th from 11am to 1pm.
