list of events designed to highlight the opportunities for women and girls to engage in outdoor recreation and inspire them to try something new.
HER Wicklow, HER Outdoors 2023 is scaling to new heights with a vast array of activities covering land, sea, and air.
Wicklow Sports Partnership is also delighted to welcome two national events to the county in the run up to the HER Wicklow, HER Outdoors Week. Volleyball Ireland will host their beach tour in Brittas Bay on Sunday, 13th of August, while Sport Ireland will open the weekend on 12th
August with a Her Outdoors Adventure Festival in Russborough House. There will be outdoor recreation activities to book, a picnic zone, yoga area and guided walks of the Greenway.
When it comes to Greystones, Monday 14th starts with an outdoor fitness class at 6pm followed at 7pm by a Bring Your Own Mat groove thang with a Funky Disco Yoga class. And if neither of those float your goat, there’s also the Marina Skate Party, from 6pm to 8.30pm.
On Friday 18th, there are two exciting introductions to sea swimming, with the early risers catered for at 7am and the lazy lumps at 6.45pm.
Up at Belmont Demesne on Saturday 19th, there’s an introduction to orientating, from 2pm to 4pm, with young and old welcome to come along. You can register right here.
