ust as Tommaso has pretty much cornered the market when it comes to our annual search for the town’s best coffee, Tim at Enso is making our Greystones Yummiest Pizza award all his own.

We’ve been running this public vote for three years now, and each and every year, hey, the winner is Tim and the gang.

“It genuinely means the world to us to win this,” says the bould Mr Crooks. “And each time we win it, it actually feels even more special…

“Given that you would expect people to feel, hey, these guys have got two Oscars already, and there are loads of other pizza places in Greystones now – so, let’s go give this one to someone else…”

It’s a feeling shared by Fiona Roche, with her Blacklion pharmacy crowned Greystones’ Top Of The Shops three times in a row also. More of which, later.

Presenting Tim with the 2024 award this afternoon, Eamonn Foley, Lydia Casey and Barbara Lennox from sponsors SherryFitz are clearly fans of Enso’s pizza too.

“We’re always happy to sponsor this annual competition,” says Eamonn, “as it gets such a huge response for the community.

“Better still, when we swing by for this presentation, myself, Barbara and Lydia get to pop in and, you know, make sure Enso’s really do have the best pizza in Greystones…”

“Without wanting to sound like Bono,” finishes Tim, “a big part of our thinking at Enso is being part of the community. Pizza tends to bring people together, and we’re always happy to lend a helping hand to local sports clubs.

“The fact that people love our pizzas enough to vote for us three years in a row, how can we not return that love…?”
