Horse & Hound have been busy getting their Delgany drinking emporium sunny side up for the summer.
The Sunday Setlist At The Horse offers up a series of afternoon double-headliners for de summer, with June 28th kicking it off with The Woolly Jumpers from 2pm to 4pm and Robbie Doyle from 4pm to 6pm; July 5th sees Brian and Emily at 2pm and Woodsy at 4pm; July 12th has Brian and Emily at 2pm with Robbie Doyle at 4pm; July
19th, it’s Ed Keating at 2pm and Luke Carrig & Band at 4pm; July 26th sees Ed Keating at 2pm and The Woolly Jumpers at 4pm; on August 2nd, it’s The Woolly Jumpers at 2pm and Robbie Doyle at 4pm; August 9th has Ed Keating at 2pm and Lisa Kavanagh at 4pm; August 15th sees The Woolly Jumpers at 2pm and Robbie Doyle at 4pm; on August 16th, it’s Ed Keating at 2pm and Woodsy at 4pm, whilst closing the run on Sunday, August 23rd, it’s The Woolly Jumpers at 2pm and Robbie Doyle at 4pm.
Meanwhile, the new brunch menu for those not-so-early birds will be available on weekends, from 9am to 11am. And for those who like to know exactly what they’re getting on their plate, that new brunch menu comprises of a pastry or Claire’s fruit scone with butter and preserves (€5.50), homemade fruit and nut muesli with raspberry compote and Greek yogurt (€8.50), corn fritters with poached eggs and a pineapple & jalapeno salsa (€12; add bacon for €3), wild mushrooms in a cream
and tarragon sauce on toast with poached eggs (€12; add bacon for €3), The Veggie Breakfast of 2 poached eggs, grilled tomato, mushrooms, pressed fried potato and toast (€12) and The Whole Horse with 2 poached eggs, 2 rashers, 2 sausage, black and white pudding, grilled tomato, press fried potato and toast (€16). And for the kids there’s the mini-breakfast of 2 items and toast (€5) or mini pancakes with maple syrup or lemon (€5), with the option of adding chocolate spread, bacon or raspberry compote and cream for €3.
