How Green Was My Volley

So, we’re getting Max out for his morning stroll and to witness Greystonians painting the town green, and then we happened upon this.

Two large volleyball nets, a bunch of volleyball heads, and even a small group of tents – should the weather become a little too Irish.

Yep, for some strange, twisted and possibly drunken reason, Beach Volleyball Ireland reckoned Paddy’s Day was the perfect day to hold a series of qualifying games right here in Greystones.

The mad eejits.

Still, they got the weather for it. Back Monday morning, for some national training, there will be an open session in the afternoon.

Which is just what we did, catching up with Miriam Gormally to find out, well, what the hell were they thinking…?
