s with many a sensitive artist, Andrew John Hozier-Byrne really doesn’t like to talk about money.

Or worse, have other people talk about his money.

Which is why the Newcastle lad has decided to take his entertainment firm Haskey Ltd unlimited. Which will mean Hozier no longer has to file annual accounts.

Annual accounts that can be checked on an annual basis by scurrilous journalists. Like ourselves. If we ever bothered to pay the access fee for such info.

It was back in August that the national papers reported on 2024’s accounts showing a post-tax profit of €1.59m for Haskey Ltd, bringing Hozier’s accumulated profits to a tidy €6.29m.

Which must be nice.

The latest leap in very good fortune was largely triggered by last year’s worldwide hit, Too Sweet, giving the singer-songwriter his biggest chart success since his 2013 breakthrough, Take Me To Church.

A global smash can also help to put plenty more bums on seats, of course, Hozier’s Unreal Unearth: Unending tour playing to sold-out crowds just about every country on the planet. Give or take.

Truth be told, given that he regularly gets involved in charities around here despite the world constantly knocking on his door, it couldn’t happen to a nicer guy…
