It’s Lambing Season In Wicklow

ot all mutts can be as loving, caring, sharing, smart and sensitive as, well, every dog owner thinks their four-legged friend is.

And that’s never more obvious than when lambing season comes around.

If you’re heading out into the Wicklow wilds, or anywhere our woolly friends roam free, be sure to bring a lead for your beloved, and one for your dog too.

There are an estimated 300 to 400 attacks each year in Ireland, with up to 4,000 sheep killed annually. And they can happen right in your own back field.

Just ask David Massey, who runs the 400-year-old family farm down by The Grove.

As the old saying goes about dogs in the country, better safe than shot dead by an angry farmer.
