fter the thousands upon thousands of pictures we’ve published here of Greystonians down through the years, it hardly needs to be said but, we’re a damn handsome bunch of feckers around here.

To the point that, you know, browsing through John Hickey’s fine shots of our great big Christmas Lights ceremony on Saturday, there’s a good chance that you just breezed past the above pic as merely one of 200 others you’re keen to devour in seconds.

You feckin’ feck.

Well, take a moment, bubba. Fight that internet curse of having the attention span of a goldfish, and just look around you for a second.

We’re a beautiful town. Full of beautiful people. Tommaso excepted, of course.

And if you don’t believe us, feast your eyes upon the top-of-the-range, Grade-A, oven-ready Christmas video that local filmmaker supreme Robin J. Kavanagh has put together of Saturday’s shindig.

Holy and – dare we say it – MOLY! It’s AMAZING!

Now, maybe some of it is fine Hollywood trickery – a little blur here, a little mercy edit there – but I reckon this 3 minutes of magic will have people trekking from all four corners of the globe just to bask in our beauty. So, brace yourselves.

Big thanks to Robin, and to the Greystones Christmas Lights committee, Greystones 2020 and all the other organisers, donors and volunteers, without whom we wouldn’t have this perfect little time capsule of a perfect day to share with the world. And make ’em green with envy.
