rish Hennessy at Halfway Up The Stairs has been in touch about a new welcome gesture for the town’s arriving Ukrainians.

Available now, there’s a colouring sheet of two hands meeting across a rainbow, as Greystones offers these refugees a chance of a safe haven.

“We have started to receive some of the back already,” says Trish, “and we’re going to display them regularly in our shop window.

“It’s important for the children to feel welcome as they arrive in a whole new country…”
