Angel of the morning….
hey couldn’t have asked for a better day for it…
Those lovely people at the Greystones Family Resource Centre got together with those cuddly people at Greystones Ladies’ Group this afternoon to have an Easter Family Fun Day up in Kenmare.
And sure, wasn’t there cakes, and games, and balloons, and face painting, and tea, and more cakes, and a great big raffle, and all sorts of fun in the sun.
There was also, in the end, two Guide photographers covering the event, the mighty John McGowan taking a whole bunch of fine portraits shots of all the beautiful boys and girls before Pablo arrived unwittingly an hour later to take a few shots and grab a few words with one of the ringleaders, Christine.
We arrived just as the raffle was getting underway, so, you know, stick with the
video. All human life is here, and some rather rockin’ prizes too.
The day was all in aid of, Christine tells us, the Senior Group’s summer holiday. Not entirely sure which senior group that is, but, if you see a particularly tanned bunch of old folk wandering around the town, you’ll know who was responsible.
Congrats to everyone behind the scenes here today, especially the lovely Linda Byrne. Who gave us a bag of cakes to take home. Man, you should see the contented smile on Max’s face right now, lying in that glorious afternoon sun…
Below, check out our video chat with Christine, along with some more crappy shots by that Pablo eejit…
