Finally, the snog…
h, the 1980s, they brought us many, many wonderful things,
and most of them came with shoulder pads and the hair of a tasered poodle.
Most importantly, this is the decade that gave us St David’s Class of 1989, a motley crew of schemers and dreamers loved by the gullible, the gormless and the Gardaí.
Timed so many of them can make the most of their five-day Christmas pass, the 1989 gang gathered at The Rugby Club on Saturday, December 28th, and proceeded to relive their glory days.
And to check out who’s kept their crap together and, more importantly, who’s really lost the plot.
You can probably tell who shot up and who fecked up just from the pictures here.
Just look straight into those bloodshot eyes.
A mighty, mighty thanks to the mighty, mighty John McGowan for swinging by and catching the middle-aged, mild-mannered mayhem.
You can check out – and download for free – John McGowan’s full gallery of hi-res shots right about here. And then, go jump back to 1989 with the Baskerville Sisters here.

Oh my God! Oh my God! What will we do…?! What CAN we do…?!!?
It was the pic the organisers sent in, but, hey, if you’ve got the 1989 group shot, send it over. After you’ve had a lie-down, of course.
