This afternoon, it’s the annual Seniors Christmas Dinner, whilst last night, it was the switching on of the lights and the arrival of The Man In Red.
“And this was all made possible by all the great shops, local businesses and volunteers,” says Connecting Kilcoole’s Grainne McLoughlin. “And let’s not forget Troy Gillette, who is going to sleep for about a week, having just completed Greystones’ Christmas lights too…”
For Councillor Tom Fortune, who did the honours, Friday was something special. “What a great community night in Kilcoole as the village launches its Christmas festivities,” he told the Guide. “It was a great occasion with hundreds of children and their parents coming along to meet Santa. Santa gave each of the little ones a present, whilst there was mulled wine and mince pies for the parents.”
