And that means Santa first circling Burnaby Park, saying hello to all the kids in Eden Gate, Charlesland, Delgany Wood, Seagreen, Waverly, Blacklion and all the way up

Don’t stop believin’…
t’s that time of year when each and every one of us feels a strong urge
to be our best elf.
And having a night like tonight, with the town sparkling, the kids shining bright, and the 100% Real-Life Santa Claus swinging through town, well, how could that not get you in the Christmas feels…?
A big part of the magic every year is down to the Greystones Town Team, who plot and plan for months to make sure the launch of the town’s Christmas lights and its Christmas spirit is fun for everyone.
And that means Santa first circling Burnaby Park, saying hello to all the kids in Eden Gate, Charlesland, Delgany Wood, Seagreen, Waverly, Blacklion and all the way up
along Church Road, all the way to a festive freakout where the crowds get their festive mojo rising with a little help from The St Laurence’s Choir, Abiha Mansoor, The Vitality Academy Of Dance, some high-kickin’ Strictly dancers and the low-rumblin’ Holyhead Male Voice Choir, all held together by roving reporter Kaci Rock and those two eejits from East Coast FM, Rob & Laura.
But the night is all about The Man In Red, and – Ready! Set! Glow! – the lighting up the town for another magical Christmas in Greystones.
As well as a big pat on the back for the Greystones Town Team, kudos also to all the volunteers who helped out on the night – including the Sugarloaf Lions Club, Volunteer Wicklow, The Civil Defence and An Garda Siochána. Sponsors on the night alongside big gun Cairn included The Beach House, The Burnaby, Codling Wind Park, Schnittger Bourne, Vicks Café, Cored Credit Union, Mrs Robinson, Home Of Hair, Higcon Construction, Renewables Ireland and the Charlesland Shopping Centre.
And we have to give thanks and praise, as always, to our no.1 photographer, John McGowan, who was once again Santa’s little snapper for the whole night. You can check out his full gallery of over 300 pics from tonight in hi-res right here.
You can also jump back through the town’s previous Christmas Lights parties over here, and find out what other yuletide shenanigans the town is up to here.
