quint your eyes, and it would be easy to think that a giant dragonfly had taken Fiachra Etchingham away…

Look a little closer, and you’ll see that this Greystones Sailing Club veteran is just hydroplane sailing.

The new contraption bouncing along Greystones shoreline is called a Moth, a small hydrofiol sailing dinghy that’s currently running rings around the competition out there, thanks to its incredible speeds.

And although it make have taken our boy a little while to tame the beast, as the above picture proves, man and Moth are getting along swimmingly these days.

We asked the man himself to explain what the hell is going on here…
