longside Newcastle’s long-standing Saturday morning love-in, there are three new markets coming over the mountain.

Which should keep you in the homemade and the home-baked for the foreseeable.

And the good news is, there’s one for each day of the weekend, and they’re each just a scone’s throw from Greystones.

On Fridays, The Good Life Farmers Market’s latest home is Farmer Brown’s Pub in Kilternan, which is right about here. All the usual fresh veg and straight-out-of-the-oven bakes you’ve come to expect from Cathy and co, whilst there’s always room for chocolate, coffee, hot sauces, jams and beyond. Closest to home is the new monthly Market Fair at Bray Central, created in conjunction with hipster group We Love Markets. Starting on April 1st, this farmers market will run on the Saturday from 11am to 5pm, and boast over 20 stalls covering everything from food to furniture, from fashion to vintage. Heading out of Greystones in the opposite direction, you can catch the Djouce Mountain Markets, which is about five minutes’ drive from the Sugar Loaf or the Willow Grove, on the Roundwood road at the Ballinastoe Crossroads.
