Bray Harbour after the storm…
aving gifted Greystones with his own particular take on our town, local photographer Luke McGuinness luckily liked to travel too.
Whether the man was being arty or lazy by taking his many 1970s shots of our good neighbour, Bray, from his car window isn’t that easy to fathom.
Either way, these snatched moments and random shots of Bray’s street traffic 40 years ago do give us a taste of what life was like back then in our neighbouring town.
We’ve said it before, and feck it, we’ll say it again, thank Elvis for photographers like Luke McGuinness, who unwittingly captured a slice of history every time they took their camera out on the streets and just snapped away for their own enjoyment.
Years later, these casual, crafted shots are here forever, for everyone’s enjoyment…
