More Voodoo Rays Hit The Octagon

ith the stated aim of hosting a rave in each of Ireland’s 32 counties, The Doe-Eyed Chancer Known As Child’s Mind Music just crossed Wicklow off his list as he took over The Octagon for some latenight shenanigans.

This Glen Of The Downs historical building having long ago proven to be something of a favourite when it comes to latenight shenanigans.

According to the latest DJ guru to grace Bellevue with his presence and his great big speakers, Ireland’s nightlife is dying. And he’s the lad to save it.

Not that everyone on his social media shout-out for the Wicklow wig-out was impressed, with more than a few pointing out that any publicity highlighting a rave hotspot is bad publicity.

Their argument being that rave etiquette dictates any underground venues need to stay underground to survive. And they should never, ever be used for social media likes.

Proving that rave minds think alike, live band Grooveline were also setting up on the same night to perform live downstairs.

What are the odds…?

Back on social media, one poster recalled the Gardaí arriving at a rave in Bellevue back in 2006 and simply locking the gates, telling everyone there that they’d be back in the morning. Those with cars just had to wait.

It hardly goes without saying that each and every one of @childmindsmusic’s raves is the craziest one ever, and The Octagon was, hey, off de Chicane.
