Feeling lucky…
ollowing our publication of a press release from the Greystones residents
group Bet Against Casino on February 3rd, we received a notice on February 9th claiming inaccuracies therein.
The notice came from Nathan Rogers at Philip Lee, voted Corporate Law Firm Of The Year 2021.
The corrections weren’t entirely clear at first, given that the main bone of contention was the claim by the Greystones resident group that Alan Muir is a director of Expo Casinos, which has operations in Santry and Tallaght.
All evidence online suggested as such – including on Muir’s own Linkedin profile – but, we’ve been assured by Philip Lee solicitors that the man is no longer connected to said casinos nor is he currently a director of their parent company.

So, apologies to Mr Muir for the confusion. The initial letters and documentation from his law firm didn’t quite cut through all that smoke and mirror companies – especially given that both Expo Casinos and Fun Expo Casinos are involved – but it would appear the disconnect was made in July 2019.
The latest solicitors letter, printed below, arrived today, and sets out the corrections to the original press release. You can view the earlier documentation they sent here.
