My Greystones: Ygraine Bright

Future’s Bright…

e first became aware of Ygraine Bright when she won Miss Pinup Ireland last year, followed rather swiftly by Miss Pin-Up International.

When we dug a little deeper, we were pretty goddarn gobsmacked to find that this fun and funky fireball lived just around the corner from us.

Having had a beautiful baby with that filmmaker whizzkid with the hippy Spaniard mum who works down in Nature’s Gold.

You know the one.

That’s when we discovered that whether as Ygraine Bright or her award-winning alter ego, Oh Golly Miss Dolly, this mindblowing blow-in is a whole lotta naughty. Especially when she’s got a ukulele in her hand, and those wanks-&-all confessional songs hitting another unsuspecting audience.

Be. The. Jiggly. Jiggers.

Touring the country, delivering vintage renditions of popular songs alongside those saucy exposés, Oh Golly Miss Dolly is currently a regular on Dr Sketchy Ireland‘s modelling roster as well as some of our better, more adventurous stages. Naturally, the lady damn near stole the show at Kitty Le Roux’s recent Christmas Cracker Cabaret.

So, after two years of visiting her beloved here in Greystones, and two years of being shacked up with the lucky fecker, it looks as though Ygraine Bright is here to stay.

Which is dang good news, given that we need all the heat we can get around here these days.
