The consequences of the Mulvey agreement will be endured by generations of women accessing the new National Maternity Hospital and paid for by the taxpayer.
We call on Minister Donnelly to immediately stop these shameful attacks and instead focus on our very real concerns which have been repeatedly communicated to you.
Best Regards,

pen letter to Minister Stephen Donnelly from Wicklow Together For Choice & Equality, issued on Friday, March 4th 2022…
Dear Minister Donnelly,
On Twitter, Minister Donnelly, parroting vested interests, commented that the campaign is “manifestly false”, “ill-informed”, “misinformation” and “misleading”.

As such, it deserves a Minister who doesn’t stoop to play political games at the expense of the future service users of the new National Maternity Hospital.

It’s an absolute insult that he claims lies and misleading information. Surely he needs to look in the mirror for that. If this hospital is indeed going to owned completely by the state and have no religious input whatsoever, he needs to provide proof of these assurances. That’s the key here! Unless that is provided, I have no confidence that misplaced religious intrusion into women’s healthcare won’t be involved. We need those assurances!
