Oh, The Pipes, The Pipes Are Calling…

t’s a real treat when you stumble upon the weird and wonderful – and it doesn’t take too long for that to happen when you take a stroll around Greystones.

No doubt banished from his own home, this lonesome piper gives his bagpipes – or are they uilleann? – a good airing down by the Cove.

Far from the madding neighbours, but right in the thick of those out for a relaxing walk.

Luckily for us, the sound our boy unleashes as he squeezes out his jigs and squeals is rather beautiful. For the most part.

Reports that a short-sighted octopus later tried to have his wicked way with the pipes have yet to be confirmed…
